My name's Rachael Ellis and I'm a Graphic Designer based in Horley, Surrey. I have just finished a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Communication at the University of the Creative arts in Farnham, specialising in Digital and Printed Media.
I've been involved in Graphic Design since my early teens which has helped me to discover my strengths within my degree. I'm established within Printed Media but I expanded more into Craft during my second and third years, learning more skills such as book binding. The main focus of my work is editorial design and I would love to work in food or design magazines and book design.
I'm most experienced in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign which I use for different projects depending on the brief at hand. Since undergoing my degree I've learnt to use a range of techniques within my work including screen printing, letterpress and book binding.
In my free time I enjoy visiting new places around the world, or even just exploring the UK. I also enjoy reading books, taking photographs, watching films and going to music concerts. Music's played an important role in my life since I was young and find it quite inspiring within my work. Another recent inspiration I have started focusing on throughout my work is a new found love for baking.
